2025 Pilot projects

Congratulations to our members recipients of the pilot projects 2025-2026 competition.

This program serves to initiate and promote an innovative and not funded aspect of the scientific research from the QPRN members. Researchers will be able to test the feasibility of an innovative concept by obtaining preliminary data that will allow the preparation of a grant application to one of the recognized funding agencies. The competition received 17 project proposals, four of which were funded (a success rate of 24%).

  • Nicole Alberts (clinical category) – Daily pain experiences in adult survivors of childhood cancer with chronic pain: Leveraging ecological momentary assessment to inform digital intervention design
  • Carmen-Édith Belleï-Rodriguez, early career (clinical category)- Exploring psychological distress in relation to dysmenorrhea and premenstrual syndrome in adolescents compared to adults: A pilot study
  • Jason Bouffard (clinical category) – Protecting the knee without hurting the back : In search for safe lifting strategies in individuals living with knee osteoarthritis
  • Elizabeth Zimmerman, early career (preclinical category) – Impact of collagen structure alterations on peripheral nerve mechanics and pain sensitivity in mice with osteogenesis imperfecta
