Biographie

Yannick Tousignant-Laflamme is an established physiotherapist and researcher whose research program is structured around three main areas: 1) improving the management of low back pain in rehabilitation, mainly through an innovative non-pharmacological low back pain management model (Pain and Disability Vector Management Model) for rehabilitation professionals; 2) chronic pain management, where he has carried out several projects aimed at improving physiotherapy management of populations suffering from various musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), and at developing and evaluating programs to promote self-management of painful symptoms; 3) personalization of rehabilitation care, through the use of prognosis to personalize MSD-specific therapeutic approaches and the principles of value-based care. At the same time, he collaborates with several research teams on the development and validation of assessment tools to support clinicians in measuring pain, functional limitations and other deficits related to MSDs.
