Biography
Marc-Olivier Dubé, PT, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at Université Laval and a researcher at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation and Social Integration (Cirris). A physiotherapist by training, his research aims to improve outcomes and healthcare pathways for people with musculoskeletal conditions, particularly knee osteoarthritis. His work examines how patients’ expectations, beliefs and healthcare experiences influence pain, outcomes and treatment decisions, including the care received following an osteoarthritis diagnosis and while awaiting specialized services. He also develops and evaluates educational and self-management interventions to improve care. His research combines clinical epidemiology, intervention studies, patient-engaged research and knowledge translation.
