Biography

I recently joined the De Koninck lab at Université Laval to investigate the comorbidity of chronic pain and depression in mice.

My PhD and first postdoctoral postition were completed at the University of Oxford (UK) in the Brain Network Dynamics Unit (BNDU), Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN). My project investigated the effects of novel closed-loop optogenetic stimulation paradigms on neural activity in the motor cortex of mice (https://doi.org/qw6d). During my PhD I was awarded a UKRI-Mitacs grant to conduct a research project at McGill University (Montréal), utilising neuroimaging and behavioural techniques in adolescent mice.

I graduated with a first-class (Hons) degree in Neuroscience with Industrial Experience from the University of Manchester in July 2019 (UK). This included a research placement year in the Neuroimmunology and Remyelination Laboratory at The Florey Institude of Neuroscience and Mental Health (Melbourne, Australia), investigating the regulation of neural precursos cells via TAM receptor signalling.
