Biography
Jada obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Manitoba in 2024. She is currently completing the second year of her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University under the supervision of Dr. Nicole Alberts, in the Behavioural Health Innovations Laboratory. Jada’s Master’s research focuses on characterizing the pain experiences of young survivors of childhood cancer and examining the role of child and parent mental health in survivors’ pain experiences. Her doctoral work will involve a qualitative analysis of the pain experiences of adult survivors of childhood cancer, including medical histories and pain trajectories, the physical and psychosocial impacts of pain, and interactions with the healthcare system and providers. This research will be used to inform future work aimed at improving pain assessment, management, and support across the childhood cancer survivorship trajectory.
