Biography

Catherine Côté is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at the Université de Montréal and a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholar. Her research explores the lifecourse experiences of people living with heritable connective tissue disorders (HCTDs). Using qualitative and patient-partnered approaches, her work aims to better understand how experiential knowledge can inform more equitable healthcare practices for rare and complex conditions. Catherine also lives with a heritable connective tissue disorder herself, which informs her situated perspective on research and patient partnership. For 2026–2027, she is a recipient of the CIHR Health System Impact Fellowship in partnership with the Loeys-Dietz Foundation.
