Biography
Dominic Bélanger is a PhD candidate in Molecular Medicine in Dr. Steve Lacroix’s laboratory at the CHU de Québec Research Center – Université Laval. He is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and is actively involved in the Réseau québécois des étudiants-chercheurs sur la douleur (RQECD), where he serves as Conference Coordinator. After completing a bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and a master’s degree in Molecular Medicine at Université Laval, he is now pursuing doctoral studies in neuroimmunology. His research focuses on the neuroinflammatory mechanisms that contribute to pain in contexts such as multiple sclerosis and traumatic injury. His research expertise centers on the cellular and molecular mechanisms mediated by interleukin-1 beta in inflammatory and pain responses.
