Biography

Passionate about neuroscience and sensory perception, I have oriented my academic path toward understanding the neurobiological mechanisms underlying pain. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences at Université Clermont Auvergne, I pursued a Master’s degree in Drug Sciences. My research internship, conducted at the NeuroDol laboratory (Dr. Mallet), focused on the role of Cav3.2 calcium channels in osteoarthritic pain, using murine models and behavioral analyses.

My PhD, also carried out at the NeuroDol laboratory, demonstrated the involvement of the estrogen receptor GPER in cancer-related, neuropathic, and inflammatory pain. This work led to the identification of innovative GPER modulators capable of alleviating chemotherapy-induced chronic pain while also exhibiting antitumor activity in triple-negative breast cancer. In parallel, I also characterized a murine model of endometriosis.

My postdoctoral research builds on this work and aims to investigate, in vivo, how different sensory modalities are encoded at
the spinal level in each sex and how this encoding is altered in chronic pain conditions.
