IASP’s World Congress on Pain is the largest gathering of pain professionals in the world, bringing together more than 5,000 scientists, clinicians, and healthcare providers from around the world and across pain disciplines.
The QPRN is fortunate to be able to present its mission and activities at the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) congress, held in Bangkok, Thailand from October 26 to 30, 2026. Our booth serves as a true international showcase for Quebec’s pain research and a dynamic gathering place for our delegation, particularly for:
- International outreach and visibility: Highlighting the work, initiatives, and expertise of our scientific community to position Quebec as a center of excellence and attract future talent (students, postdoctoral fellows, and researchers).
- Partnerships and collaborations: Engaging in fruitful exchanges with international research stakeholders to explore new partnership opportunities and stay abreast of the latest global innovations.
- Knowledge and infrastructure sharing: Disseminating our bilingual knowledge-transfer tools and promoting our databases, registries, and research infrastructure to encourage their use on an international scale.
- Support for the next generation of scientists: Through our “I show off” competition, QPRN proudly awarded 16 travel grants to support the participation of our student community in this global event.
