Bordeaux Pain Summer School special competition

The Bordeaux Pain Summer School will take place from May 19 to May 23rd, 2025. The ”Neural circuits of pain: from physiology to pathophysiology” summer school is open to doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows with an interest in neurology, neuroscience, molecular biology and electrophysiology. To facilitate the participation of our next generation in the Bordeaux Pain Summer School, we are launching a special Meeting Travel Awards competition from January 31st to February 14th 2025. This competition is part of the regular Meeting Travel Award competition. Students who have already applied to the Meeting Travel Award #1 competition for a conference taking place from February 1 to July 31, 2025, or who wish to apply to the Meeting Travel Award #2, are not eligible to apply to the Summer School on Pain in Bordeaux..

Specifications

The Meeting travel award is only for student members of the Quebec Network of Junior Pain Investigators (QNJPI).

  • Expenses related to the participation to the school are eligible;
  • Awards are capped at a maximum of $1,000;
  • Maximum of 6 applications per laboratory per year, including the Meeting Travel Award #1;
  • A student who has already applied for the Meeting Travel Award #1 competition cannot apply for this special competition.

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a registered trainee at a Quebec university engaged in pain-related research;
  • Be supervised by a regular or associate member of the Quebec Pain Research Network;
  • Be a member of the Quebec Network of Junior Pain Investigators (QNJPI) before the competition opens.
