Patient engagement portal

Your perspective as a caregiver or a person living with pain is important for research progress. The partnership between people living with pain and researchers enables to involve people impacted by pain in all of the initiatives to design and implement a research project. Several patient partners are already helping us in our mission, and our team is grateful to them. The Quebec Pain Research Network wishes to facilitate contact between people with pain or caregivers and researchers, to ensure that the research being conducted is relevant and useful to those involved. The goal of this portal is to help people with different perspectives to learn more about this type of partnership.

To find out more about the role of the patient partner, we invite you to consult this CHUM explanatory page, accompanied by a video, and to listen to Sylvie Beaudoin’s experience. You can also watch this webinar about “Demystifying the research process from patient partner perspectives“. We also invite you to consult the website of the Unité de soutien SSA du Québec, which emphasizes that you have experiences to share and that they can make a difference to the future of our healthcare system.
