Biography
Dr. Yveline Romain, after studies at the University of Montreal in biochemistry, completed a master's degree in clinical sciences at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute in the hypertension group and pre-doctoral studies at Maisonneuve Rosemont Hospital in nephrology. She completed her training in family medicine and has been working since 1991 in a remote region in Sept Iles. She also completed a graduate certificate in pain management at the University of Sherbrooke in 2010 and participated in the training of clinical sessions in psychoanalysis at GIFRIC from 2007 to 2012.
She currently practices part-time in GMF and has been responsible for the CRGDC for 10 years.
Her main interests are:
• The application of interdisciplinarity in the management of persistent pain in remote areas and self-management.
• Clinical studies on the short and medium term response to therapeutic cannabis trials in patients with refractory pain.
• The psychoanalytic approach in persistent pain.
