Biography

I am a Ph.D. Student at the Integrated Program in Neuroscience, under the supervision of Dr. Ji Zhang at the Alan Edwards Center for Research in Pain. I received my medical degrees and clinical training in China, specializing in integrative medicine and gastroenterology. Then, I joined a research group at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for additional research training. My projects were involved with visceral hypersensitivity and neuromodulation, and later on, ischemia-induced brain damage. This experience sparked my further interest in studying neuroscience. Currently, my project focuses on age-related gut alterations in relation to altered pain behavior.
