Biography
Sylvie Beaudoin has a master's degree in educational counselling and is a teacher by training. Curious by nature, she is constantly learning. She has lived with chronic pain for almost 40 years. Since her total and permanent disability in 2021, she has been involved in all the activities of UQAT's Institutional Research Chair in the Epidemiology of Chronic Pain, as a Patient Partner. As such, she works with an innovative, dynamic and inclusive team on various research projects. She also facilitates virtual support groups and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association québécoise de la douleur chronique (AQDC). It's her way of making a different, active contribution to society.
