Biography
Sabrina Paquet is a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. She began her career as a nursing assistant, then ambulance driver, then medical assistant in the Canadian Armed Forces. Her deployment to Afghanistan turned her life upside down. Diagnosed with severe and chronic post-traumatic stress disorder, her musculoskeletal injuries turned into chronic pain and fatigue. The combination of her physical and psychological ailments led to other problems such as fibromyalgia... In short, at 28, she had a prescription pad, a cane and didn't look like a woman her age. She lost many friends, her career, her passion for training, her joie de vivre and her self-esteem. She has made a long personal journey to get back on her feet. She has been living with chronic pain for over 10 years and has tried out many different solutions to regain her quality of life.
