Biography
Pierre Langevin completed his physiotherapy training at Université Laval, Quebec, in 1997 and gained his Canadian IFOMPT credentials in 2002. He holds a Master of Clinical Science from the University of Western Ontario completed in 2010, a PhD from Université Laval on clinical intervention of the neck and vestibular system on concussion completed in 2022, and completed a post-doctoral training at McGill University exploring prognostic factors in paediatric concussion. He has taught in that program since 1998 as a clinical professor. He is sharing his professional time between teaching and engaging in clinical research on back and neck pain, and concussion along with clinical practice. He is an assistant professor at the School of Rehabilitation Science at Medicine Faculty at Université Laval in the physiotherapy program. He is a regular researcher at Cirris and his research interests lie in understanding the relationship between the neck and vestibular/ocular systems as well as exploring physiotherapy management for low back pain, neck pain and concussion. He has received the 2017 Excellence award, the 2020 interprofessional Quebec Council award and the Fellow title of honour of Ordre Professionnel de la Physiothérapie du Québec.
