Biography
Philippe Richebé graduated in Anesthesia and Resuscitation in 2000 (University of Bordeaux 2). He obtained his doctorate in neuroscience and neuropharmacology in 2005: "postoperative neuron awareness, persistent postoperative pain, hyperalgesia induced by opioiodes: means of prevention". He was a university lecturer and hospital practitioner from 2005 to 2008. He was an associate professor at the University of Washington, in the department of anesthesiology and pain medicine from 2008 to 2014. He is an associate professor in the department of 'Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine of the University of Montreal since March 2014. He is Director of the Research Committee of this department since 2016. He is also President of the Foundation of Anesthesia and Resuscitation of Quebec since 2019.
His research interests: prevention of persistent postoperative pain, hyperalgesia induced by opioids, nociception monitoring, perioperative patient trajectories, postoperative impact of anesthesia.
He has over 90 articles in peer-reviewed journals and over 100 invited conferences nationally or internationally.
