Biography

Mélanie Bérubé is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Nursing at Laval Université in Quebec City, Quebec. She also is a regular researcher at the CHU de Quebec in the Trauma, Emergency and Critical Care Medicine program. She completed a master’s degree at Université de Montréal, a post-master’s acute care nurse practitioner diploma at University of Toronto, a doctoral degree at McGill University and a post-doctoral fellowship in epidemiology and biostatistics at Laval Université. Dr Bérubé has worked more than 15 years as a clinician and decision-maker with trauma patients. Her research focuses on the prevention of chronic pain and chronic use of opioid in trauma populations.
