Biography
Marc-André Blanchette obtained his doctorate in chiropractic and his master's degree in physical activity sciences from the University of Quebec at Trois-Rivières. In 2017, he completed his doctorate in public health, with a specialization in epidemiology, at the University of Montreal. His thesis was entitled: "First line of care for workers with occupational back pain: consultation time and first provider of health services". He has completed two CIHR strategic training programs: the Work Disability Prevention Training Program at the University of Toronto and the Transdisciplinary Research Training Program in Public Health Interventions at McGill University. During his postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University and the National Institute of Excellence in Health and Social Services (INESSS), he was awarded a prestigious scholarship in the area of impact on the health system of CIHR. His research is motivated by a desire to improve knowledge and practice in healthcare for musculoskeletal disorders.
