Biography
In 2005, Louise Langevin had to face multiple complications following several operations. She caught the flesh-eater, and all kinds of infections. Chronic pain gradually set in and became unmanageable. For 3 years, her pain management specialist tried several types of care, injection, physiotherapy, medication. The medical team was a great help in supporting her through the various stages and she was able to find adequate medication to control her pain.
In 2018, a member of the QPRN approached her to be part of the QPRN knowledge transfer group. She agreed to bring her experience to research to help other patients find ways to manage their pain. Throughout her health journey she felt very lonely in the medical world and could not find anything to help. She is happy to bring her experience to help patients with chronic pain.
