Biography
Jacques Abboud is a regular professor in the Department of Physical Activity Sciences at UQTR since June 2019. He holds a doctorate in biomedical sciences (2018) from the University of Montreal, dealing with neuromuscular control of the trunk. His doctoral projects were funded by NSERC. Also funded by NSERC, he completed his postdoctoral fellowship in neurophysiology (2019) at the University of British Columbia. Jacques Abboud is the author of several scientific articles published in high quality journals in his field (eg Journal of Physiology, Journal of Neurophysiology). Since the start of his career, he has already accumulated several research grants including the NSERC Discovery Grant in 2020. His research fields mainly concern neurophysiology, neurosciences and pain.
