Biography
David Williamson has a degree in pharmacy (B Pharm, 1996) and in hospital pharmacy (MSc, 1997) from the University of Montreal. He completed a second year residency (PGY2) at the Sacré Coeur Hospital (1998), training in intensive care pharmacy at the Medical University of South Carolina (2002) and a doctorate (PhD) at the 'University of Sherbrooke (2014). He is currently a full clinical professor and co-director of the master's program in advanced pharmacotherapy at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Montreal since 2016 and a specialist in clinical pharmacy at the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur in Montreal. He holds a research career grant (clinical fellow since 2016 from the Quebec Research Fund - Health) at the Research Center of the Sacré-Coeur Hospital. His research program focuses on the pharmacotherapy of sedation, analgesia, agitation, delirium and pain in traumatic brain injury and in the intensive care unit.
