Biography

Cyril Schneider is a full professor in the rehabilitation department of the faculty of medicine at Université Laval and a regular researcher in the neurosciences axis at the CHU de Québec-Université Laval research center (CHUL pavilion). His work focuses on the adaptation of the brain (cerebral plasticity) in pathophysiology and on neurostimulation as an approach to improve quality of life. In addition to an award for excellence in teaching, Cyril Schneider has participated in scientific television programs, after media coverage of his work (personality La Presse Radio-Canada in July 2010, etc.) on post-trauma amnesia and post-stroke motor disorders, cerebral adaptation in prematurity and the influence of early care.
