Biography

Chantal Doré graduated from the Occupational Therapy program at the Université de Montréal in 1993. Since 1994, she has been working as an occupational therapist with a population suffering from persistent pain of musculoskeletal origin, mainly to promote their reintegration into the workplace.
In 2014, she joined the team of clinicians at the newly-created Centre d'Expertise en Gestion de la Douleur Chronique (CEGDC) of the INoHSSS de l'Estrie. She was instrumental in setting up the CEGDC's initial services, and has since been actively involved in improving services for clients and their accessibility.
She is a lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke's School of Rehabilitation and contributes to the development of future occupational therapists' skills in pain management by welcoming several interns each year. She is also a trainer for the PEGASO and PASSAGE pain self-management programs.
Her areas of interest include:
- Group interventions;
- Non-pharmacological sleep treatments;
- Inclusion of patient partners in service development and professional training;
- Fibromyalgia;
- Knowledge dissemination and sharing.
