Biography
Dr. Caroline Ouellet is a psychologist and holds a Master’s degree in Nutrition (M.Sc.), with a specialization in Indigenous traditional medicine and metabolic health. She also holds doctorates in Community Psychology (Ph.D.) and Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.), with research focused on access to care for First Nations communities and the integration of biomedical and traditional healing approaches. She works as part of the interdisciplinary chronic pain management team at Hôpital Sainte-Anne, providing care to Canadian Armed Forces veterans living with persistent pain and post-traumatic stress disorder. Alongside her clinical practice, she teaches at Université de Montréal, Université,TÉLUQ and UQAM in the areas of health promotion, mental health, and helping relationships. Her commitment has earned her several awards, including a CIHR Excellence Scholarship, the Relève Award from the CIUSSS West Island (2023), and the Gloria-Gilbert Award from McGill University (2025), which recognizes outstanding student projects and advances in chronic pain management. She is particularly interested in science communication, aiming to translate complex scientific data into practical and accessible tools for her clients and the general public.
