Biography

I graduated from the occupational therapy master's program at the University of Sherbrooke in 2018. I then continued my graduate studies while working part-time at the CIUSSS de l'Estrie. In 2025, I completed my doctorate at the University of Sherbrooke. My project focused on the practice of occupational therapists in family medicine groups, with an additional component on the needs of people living with pain in this context. In January 2025, I joined the School of Rehabilitation at the University of Sherbrooke.

Why did you choose to study pain management?
Someone close to me has been living with chronic pain for over 30 years, and I have seen their daily activities and quality of life greatly diminished. This sparked my interest in chronic pain in my field (occupational therapy) so that I could learn more about what helps or hinders adaptation to pain and what services should be prioritized from their perspective.
