On May 7, 2025, the first Forum of Thematic Networks of the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Health Sector was held as part of the annual Acfas conference. Acfas is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and promotion of research, innovation, and scientific culture in French. For its 92nd conference, Acfas aimed to foster exchanges and collaboration among networks funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ), addressing key topics such as governance, open science, sustainable health, cross-cutting themes, and translational research.
Professor Louis Gendron contributed to the workshop “Best Practices in Network Development” (see photo below), sharing his expertise as Director of the Quebec Pain Research Network (QPRN).
This forum marks the beginning of strengthened collaboration among the thematic networks, with the goal of increasing the impact of health research in Quebec.
