In this video produced by the Canadian Medication Appropriateness and Deprescribing Network, a partner of the Quebec Pain Research Network (QPRN), QPRN patient partner Laurent shares his experience with chronic pain and deprescription. After years of taking several medications, he undertook, with the help of his medical team, a gradual process of reducing or stopping certain treatments. This approach has enabled him to regain a better balance and significantly improve his quality of life.

The Canadian Medication Appropriateness and Deprescribing Network is led by Dr. Emily McDonald, Associate Professor of Medicine at McGill University and Clinical Researcher at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre. Dr. McDonald is recognized for her expertise in clinical pharmacology and medication optimization for people living with chronic diseases.
