Mark Ware presents the challenges of pain and pain management at the prestigious Hirsh-Rosenfeld Public Lecture in Family Medicine
Each year, the Department of Family Medicine of McGill University, in collaboration with the St. James’ Literary Society, organizes the Hirsh-Rosenfeld Distinguished Public Lecture in Family Medicine. This year’s guest speaker was Mark Ware, Associate Professor in the Department and Director of the Alan Edwards Pain Management Unit and member of the RQRD. In his presentation, he describes the scientific basis of pain, pain management strategies and the gaps that need to be filled. He also presented pain through the eyes of patients, using artistic expressions to convey the impact that pain has on social life. The recording of Mark Ware’s presentation is available on YouTube.
