Yannick Tousignant Laflamme funded by the International MDT Research Foundation

The aim of the International MDT Research Foundation is to fund original research worldwide that contributes to the body of evidence related to mechanical diagnosis and therapy (MDT), such as its utility and limitations.

Yannick Tousignant-Laflamme is a physiotherapist, Professor at the Université de Sherbrooke and member of the QPRN. One of his research projects focuses on neck pain and seeks to reduce the pain and disability associated with neck pain through innovative assessments and interventions that take into account all biopsychosocial aspects. One possible solution is to profile patients using biopsychosocial phenotyping: the Pain and Disability Driver Management Model (PDDM). The aim now is to validate the model’s content and assess its clinical feasibility and acceptability.
