Arthritis Society Canada is a national health charity, fueled by donors and volunteers, with a mission to fight the fire of arthritis with the fire of research, advocacy, innovation, information and support.
In its annual ranking, The Arthritis Society presents the research projects it has funded that have made or will make great strides in the fight against arthritis. Lisbet Haglund, professor at McGill University and member of the QPRN, is included in this ranking and we congratulate her! Her research project showed that a set of genes in the cells of intervertebral discs can predict whether the discs are degenerating, which could be useful as new biomarkers.
