Data and algorithms against neurological diseases

Maxime Descoteaux's subject of interest is the brain, which takes on the appearance of a road map and which, at its destination, contributes to concretely improving the lot of people suffering from neurological diseases.

Maxime Descoteaux is a member of the RQRD and a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Université de Sherbrooke.

Since 2017, he has held the Neuroinformatics Research Chair, which brings together a multidisciplinary team working to map communication pathways in the brain. The basic research he leads results in computational and mathematical tools that pave the way for medical solutions.
