Lumbar spinal stenosis is the leading cause of spinal surgery in individuals aged 65 and over in Canada. Hence the interest of a recently published regional study on its treatment.
A group of researchers from the UQTR, including Martin Descarreaux, and the CIUSSS MCQ, associated with the International Research Chair in Neuromusculoskeletal Health, suggest an innovative and effective approach to help people with this back problem. It is a pre-operative rehabilitation program to improve their physical and functional capacities.
