The Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans (CPCoE) has appointed Dr., Major (Retired) Luc J. Hébert as the new Director of Research Partnerships and as the new Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board as of July 1, 2022.
Not only does Dr. Hébert bring over 28 years of military experience, he also has been in the world of research for 30 years. He obtained a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Montreal in 1989 and a PhD in Experimental Medicine at l’Université Laval in 2001. His research has been focused on the health of military and Veterans and he works closely with other military and Veteran organizations such as the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research (CIMVHR) and the Interallied Confederation of Medical Reserve Officers (CIOMR).
