The search for methods that promote self-management of pain is often encouraged. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9rick Dionne, associate professor in the Department of Psychology at the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Trois-Rivi\u00e8res, is interested in one such method, bibliotherapy. This refers to the therapeutic virtues of reading. Prof. Dionne followed people suffering from chronic pain and evaluated the impact of reading a book on the principles of acceptance and commitment therapy in chronic pain management (mindfulness meditation exercises). The results of his study are positive and promising and have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scientifique-en-chef.gouv.qc.ca\/impacts\/traiter-sa-douleur-chronique-avec-un-bouquin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">praised by the FRQ<\/a>.
