The latter are considered regular members and can benefit travel grants of the QPRN, training workshops, conferences (Pain Retreat) or public outreach activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Next Generation of Pain Researchers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regular members of the QNJPI come from six Quebec universities, with a higher proportion of students coming from McGill University (42%), followed by the University of Laval (18%), the University of Montreal (16%) and the University of Sherbrooke (14%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2018, a greater proportion of QNJPI members pursued their graduate studies in basic sciences, while 2019 observed a diversification in the type of research undertaken: 37% of members were respectively in basic science AND in clinical research (45% vs. 39% in 2018).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/qprn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Publication_RQECD2-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1832\" style=\"width:400px;height:400px\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Alice Wagenaar<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\"><div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/qprn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Publication_RQECD3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1941\" style=\"width:450px;height:400px\" title=\"\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Maxime Mireault<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main mission of the QNJPI is knowledge transfer, promoting networking and fostering the creation of scientific collaborations among these student members from various fields of expertise. Thus, the members of the board of directors of the QNJPI strive to offer relevant and interesting activities in order to support them in their education while inspiring new ideas and high-quality scientific conduct.
