To promote a continuum and high added-value care trajectories centered on needs, this consortium aims to develop knowledge mobilization tools based on evidence and stakeholder needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GOVERNANCE<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each consortium operates on three levels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>i. Consortium Directors<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/qprn.ca\/en\/investigator\/timothy-wideman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Timothy Wideman<\/a>, researcher at McGill University, <a href=\"https:\/\/qprn.ca\/en\/investigator\/pascale-marier-deschenes\/\">Pascale Marier-Desch\u00eanes<\/a>, researcher at Universit\u00e9 Laval and H\u00e9l\u00e8ne LeScelleur, patient partner. The consortium directors are supported by the QPRN scientific committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ii. QPRN Scientific Committee<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>iii. The larger group <\/strong>is composed of student representatives, people from research and clinical backgrounds as well as any other person with expertise relevant to the work. Anyone with an interest in the field of pain is encouraged to participate in the consortium&#8217;s meetings and activities. It is also possible to participate in more than one consortium. The trainee representatives are Maureen Ahiatsi and Marim\u00e9e Godbout Parent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Progress<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>October 6, 2022<\/strong>. Discussions and negotiations with the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans to initiate a partnership.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>April 1st, 2024<\/strong>, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue Hospital, Montr\u00e9al. Appointment of a Planning, Programming and Research Officer whose role will be to promote and support research directly in clinical settings that serve a veteran clientele.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>April 19, 2024<\/strong>. Call for projects in line with the five identified needs by QPRN and the Chronic Pain Centre of Excellence for Canadian Veterans. This initiative resulted in the selection and funding of three projects addressing, respectively, pain beliefs in Canadian Forces training environments, the use of a combination of virtual reality and neuromodulation for pain management, and a data infrastructure to study care trajectories and medication use among veterans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>April 24, 2024<\/strong>, Qu\u00e9bec. Visit from Nerita Leweis, Australian veteran, to discuss about the two countries\u2019 initiatives in research and support programs for veterans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>November 20<\/strong>, 2024, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue Hospital, Montr\u00e9al. QPRN organized the first in-person meeting of this consortium. Inspiring discussions were held about the use of cannabis, the positive effect of pain, the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model and the practice of mindfulness and yoga.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>May 14, 2025<\/strong>, H\u00f4pital Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue, Montr\u00e9al. Discussion meeting focusing on research of cannabis usage for medical purposes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>October 28, 2025<\/strong> videoconference &#8211; Large group in-person meeting. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Projects<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Understanding pain beliefs in the military and their role in shaping identity and coping among Veterans living with pain<\/strong> (Timothy H.
