Pr Mercier has just been awarded a Tier 1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ulaval.ca\/la-recherche\/unites-de-recherche\/chaires-de-recherche-du-canada\/chaire-de-recherche-du-canada-en-readaptation-sensorimotrice-et-douleur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canada Research Chair in Sensorimotor Rehabilitation and Pain<\/a>. Tier 1 Chairs are awarded to outstanding researchers who are recognised by their peers as world leaders in their field. For each Tier 1 Chair, the institution receives $200,000 per year for seven years.
