The Press was interested in the subject and tried to find a rational explanation. Although Dr. Shir, an experienced physician, professor in the Department of Anesthesia at the McGill University Health Centre and member of the QPRN, frequently admits to hearing patients mention the effects of weather on pain, the scientific literature does not explain this relationship.
