Evelyne D. Trottier, an emergency physician in the Department of Pediatrics at Sainte Justine UHC, and Marie-Jo\u00eblle Dor\u00e9-Bergeron, an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Sainte Justine UHC, consider pain assessment and treatment to be essential aspects of pediatric care. Appropriate pain management is associated with faster recovery and less use of health care resources.
