A great number of trainees from their research teams are key contributors to its work, not to mention the countless collaborations with people living with pain, their families, heathcare teams and various partners in the Quebec, Canadian and international pain ecosystem.

The Pain Network is committed to an equal scientific co-leadership that reflects the diversity of its members’ research approaches. Alongside the executive management, the Pain Network has established a steering committee, a management committee, a scientific committee, and a student committee to meet the needs of its members. All activities are supported by two full-time employees (executive director and scientific coordinator) whose services are available to members. The Pain Network offers three areas of support to its members and the community:

i. Individual support: members members can benefit from several programs (e.g., Registry Access Program, Invited Speaker, Event Support, Knowledge Popularization Support, Pilot Projects, Research Participation Portal), Partners at the Partnering in Pain Research Program (assisting with patient engagement), travel awards, internship grants, and many others.

ii. Support for collaborative projects: Multidisciplinary research consortia have been set up to carry out large-scale projects. The Pain Network also facilitates networking with partners, consortia facilitation, and representation on strategic committees.

iii. Community support: The Pain Network has implemented several knowledge transfer initiatives, including popularized scientific summaries, videos, podcasts, pain awareness campaigns, and many others.

Consortia

In line with our mission, the interdisciplinary Consortia described below were formed following various consultations with our members and ecosystem stakeholders.
