The Pain Talk Podcast invited Don Daniel Ocay, a PhD student at McGill University, to share his work on pediatric pain and with the Quebec Network of Junior Pain Investigators (QNJPI).
The Pain Talk Podcast is dedicated to bringing together experts who study and support individuals living with pain. It is a platform where scientists, health care providers and individuals living with pain can talk pain — plain and simple.
Don Daniel Ocay is a PhD student at McGill University in Experimental Surgery under the supervision of Dr. Catherine Ferland and co-president of the Quebec Network of Junior Pain Investigators (QNJPI). During the end of February, Mr. Ocay was invited by the host of the podcast, Dr. Maureen Allen, to share about the public outreach activities conducted by the QNJPI. Due to the importance of pain awareness and education, he shared the QNJPI’s initiatives on March 4, 2020. He appears on episode 34 of the Pain Talk Podcast, published on March 26, 2020. During the interview, Mr. Ocay discusses the small and large community outreach initiatives of the QNJPI. He discusses the small-scale community outreach project pertaining to the collaboration with the Quebec Association of Chronic Pain. Mr. Ocay also discusses the large-scale community outreach project referring to PAINtalks.
