Biography

Jacques Laliberté is a founding director of the Association québécoise de la douleur chronique (AQDC) (2004), and has been Chairman of the Board and volunteer Executive Director for the past 11 years. He is still very active on the Board of Directors as Past President. He has had a long career as a manager of a multinational oil company, working in positions ranging from managing director of subsidiaries to strategic planning consultant, as well as in sales and marketing. Mr Laliberté currently co-chairs the Executive Committee of the Chronic Pain Network.

In 2013, Mr Laliberté was awarded the Governor General's Volunteer Medal, which honours living Canadians and permanent residents who have made a significant, sustained and unpaid contribution to their community, in Canada or abroad. He also recently received the Canadian Pain Society's 2023 Leadership Award for Persons with Lived Experience.
